Am 18. Juni 2011 findet von 9.30-17.00 Uhr ein Workshop am Duisburg Learning Lab zum Thema "Topic Maps in E-Learning" mit Dr. Máté Tóth statt.

Topic Maps is a standard technology for describing knowledge structures and using them to improve the findability of information. Topic Maps is increasingly used – among other fields like enterprise information integration, knowledge management, and digital libraries – in e-learning. The course aims at giving an overview on Topic Maps technology (advantages, disadvantages) that enables the participating students to decide if this standard method for representing knowledge is relevant for a given purpose in the field of e-lerning. By editing topic maps with LTM (Linear Topic Maps Notation) syntax the students experience the strengths and weaknesses of this way of knowledge representation.
