Eine solche Statistik für den deutschsprachigen Raum fände ich auch spannend. Bei Fernschulen gibt es ja durchaus solche Befragungen der einzelnen Institute durch das Forum DistancE-Learning; die Teilnahme ist allerdings freiwillig.

Danke für den Link Markus! Finde ich super interessant...der Altersdurchschnitt bei den Fernlernenden scheint ja recht ausgewogen zu sein...was mich ein wenig stutzig machte war der große Unterschied der Teilnehmer der FernUni Hagen zum Rest. Ich weiß jetzt nicht so genau, aber gehört die FernUni Hagen zu einer "regulären" Präsenzuni? Ist das gemischt? Oder nur die Fernstudenten? Da müssen sich die anderen ja mächtig ins Zeug legen, um aufzuholen...

Die FernUni Hagen ist eine reine Fern-Universität - und die einzige staatliche FernUni Deuschlands. Nebenbei übrigens auch die größte Hochschule Deutschlands insgesamt.

Die hohen Studierendenzahlen kommen unter anderem dadurch zu Stande, dass die Gebühren in Hagen sehr gering sind und dadurch auch Hemmschwelle, es einmal zu versuchen niedrig ist.
