Hallo,

ich studiere an der OU für die B35 BSc Computing with Business. Jetzt habe ich eine eMail erhalten, dass die Kurse geändert werden und möchte gerne auf einen Joint Honours Degree gehen. Die Website, die in der eMail angegeben ist, funktioniert nicht. Habe eine eMail geschrieben, aber noch keine Antwort erhalten. Weiß jemand, wo man seine Qualification neu verlinken kann, oder wo es Infos zu den neuen Joint Degrees gibt?

kannst Du mal den Link hier reinstellen, von einem joint degree habe ich in meinen 10 Jahren OU nichts gehört und gerade in der Fakultät für MAthematik, Ingenieurwesen und Computerwissenschaft bin ich zu hause.

Die Umstrukturierung ist schon länger geplant gewesen und mein Qualification Planner hat schon seit Beginn meiner Kurse gesagt, dass die Qualifications geändert werden und ich ihn deswegen nicht benutzen kann. Demnach ist es keine Phishing Mail, weil ich auch nirgends ein Passwort eingeben musste. und auch auf die Original Website kam. Hier ist der Link, welcher allerdings als Tiny-Url in der eMail war:

Ich hätte nichts gegen ein Joint degree, da es wahrscheinlich dann auch mit der Anerkennung in Deutschland besser ist. Statt Computing with Business würde ich dann den BSc(Hons) Computing, IT and Business machen (B67). Kommt wahrscheinlich dem Wirtschaftsinformatiker näher. Nur will ich halt nicht vorher Kurse belegen, die dann später nicht anerkannt werden, weil ich bis 2014 sicherlich nicht fertig bin.

Also ein B67 degree habe ich an der gesamten OU nicht gefunden, möglicherweise etwas komplett neues ??

Im Bereich Computing und ICT sind diese degrees verfügbar und ebenso über den qualification planner:

Business Studies (B04)

Computing (B29)

Computing and Design (B44)

Computing and Mathematical Sciences (B14)

Computing and Statistics (B34)

Computing with Business (B35)

Computing with Psychological Studies (B49)

Information and Communication Technologies (B38)

Information Technology and Computing (B13)

Open degree (BD)

Technology (B20)

Top-up BSc (Honours) Computing and its Practice (B40)

Mehr gibt es derzeit an der OU nicht und auch keine Joint honours degrees, vielleicht sind diese geplant, derzeit gibt es sie nicht.

The following new qualifications have been introduced:

* Certificate in Computing and IT (K10)

* Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Computing and IT (E66)

* Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Computing and IT Practice (E67)

* Foundation Degree in Computing and IT Practice (G23)

* BSc (Hons) Computing and IT (B62)

* BSc (Hons) Computing and IT Practice (top up) (B68)

* BSc (Hons) Computing and IT (joint honours) (B67)

Currently the B67 joint honours qualification is available as:

* BSc(Hons) Computing, IT and Business

* BSc(Hons) Computing, IT and Design

* BSc (Hons) Computing, IT and Mathematics

* BSc(Hons) Computing, IT and Statistics

* BSc (Hons) Computing, IT and Psychology

These replace the following qualifications that are to be withdrawn:

* Diploma in Computing (D12)

* Diploma in Information Technology (D39)

* Diploma of Higher Education in ICT (E39)

* Diploma of Higher Education in Computing and its Practice (E41)

* Diploma of Higher Education in Business Information Technology (E45)

* Foundation Degree in Information and Communication Technologies (G04)

* Foundation Degree in Computing and its Practice (G06)

* Foundation Degree in Business Information Technology (G13)

* BSc (Hons) Information Technology and Computing (B13)

* BA/BSc (Hons) Computing and Mathematical Sciences (B14)

* BA/BSc (Hons) Computing and Statistics (B34)

* BSc (Hons) Computing with Business (B35)

* BSc (Hons) Information and Communication Technologies (B38)

B40 will be withdrawn on 31 December 2012.

G13 will be withdrawn on 31 December 2016.

All the other qualifications will be withdrawn on 31 December 2014.

What does this mean for me?

If you want to claim one of the existing qualifications you must complete all the academic requirements before the relevant final withdrawal date.

If this is not possible, you will need to transfer your studies to one of the new qualifications.

All modules which count towards our current qualifications can also be counted towards the new qualifications.

Hi,

die OU hat wirklich ihr gesamtes Degree und Diploma Spektrum runderneuert. Ich habe heute früh mal mein Mail in übersichtlicher Form in den Blog gepackt: http://blog.larshaendler.com/2010/11/grosses-degree-massaker-bei-der-open-university/

Es wundert mich nicht, dass die Mail nicht funktioniert. Die angegebene URL funktioniert auch nicht :angry:

So wie ich das verstanden habe, kannst du jederzeit von den alten auf die neuen Degree's umsteigen. Natürlich sofern die Kurse deckungsgleich sind. Da die Mail nicht funktioniert, wende dich doch an dein Regional Centre.

Wenn es nicht eilt - sprich wenn du nicht diesen Monat mit deinem Degree fertig wirst -würde ich bis Dezember warten. Wahrscheinlich haben 75% bis 90% der angeschriebenen Studenten dieselbe Frage wie du ;)

Ich hoffe, dass das jetzt nicht zu kompliziert ist. Und das bezieht sich ausschliesslich auf Computing and ICT Faculty.
